Thom Browne x Kreëmart collaborated on a special performance to celebrate the launch of their new “Custom Made” tailoring service at Bergdorf Goodman’s.
In the performance, titled “Uniformly,” model Rocky Harwood, moves through his daily routine: uniformly walking to his desk with methodical precision. He then proceeds to look through the desk drawers. In the last drawer, he finds a folio, which he discovers is full of edible paper. He turns back to the desk and stares at it intently, before deciding to examine the top drawers. He curiously pulls out one drawer and takes a bite, discovering it is made of chocolate. He examines the other 2 drawers before breaking off a piece of the chocolate to dip into the surface of the desk, revealing it is cake. Filled with a renewed sense of childlike wonder, Rocky stands and smiles, delighted by the abundance of surprise hidden within the uniformity of his daily routine. The cake, drawers, edible papers were then served to guests for dessert.
The performance is a celebration of surprise, and an optimistic take on inviting the unknown into your daily routine. Cake was designed by Chef Guido Mogni with the assistance of Satoko Kakinohana.
